XYOUNGSTOWN — Lowellville Mayor James Iudiciani officiated at 1 p.m. July 28 at Kidston Pavilion in Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park for the marriage of Peggy Sue Smith, 5232 E. Calla Road, New Middletown, and Floyd Robert Crooks, 3705 E. Calla Road, Poland.

Parents of the bride are Glenn McClain, 3636 Shields Road, Canfield, and Alice Zame, 835 Pasadena Ave.

The groom is a son of Virginia Crooks, of the East Calla Road address, and the late Robert Crooks.

After a reception at The Embassy, the couple left on a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

They live in New Middletown.

A café-colored sash accented the bride’s strapless, princess-style gown of ivory satin, and she held a nosegay of pink gerbera daisies and rhinestones.

Lori Mihin of Cincinnati was the honor attendant in a seafoam-green gown.

Performing the duties of best man was Kevin Pushay of Poland, and the usher was Jason Smith of New Middletown, the bride’s son.

Mrs. Crooks served for 10 years with the U.S. Navy Reserves and earned a bachelor’s degree at Youngstown State University. She is an accountant with Cerimele, Meyer and Wray in Poland.

The groom is a sales representative with East Jordan Iron Works in Cleveland.
