CANFIELD FAIR Public health

A team of 14 sanitarians from the Mahoning County District Board of Health inspects food vendors at the Canfield Fair. Here are some the critical issues the sanitarians look for:

Temperature control in preparing foods, both hot and cold.

Adequate refrigeration.

Appropriate hand washing by food preparers and servers.

The ability to wash, rinse and sanitize utensils and equipment.
