Literary society books author

YOUNGSTOWN — Award-winning Cleveland author Les Roberts will be the featured speaker at a fund-raising event to be sponsored by the Literary Society of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County at 6 p.m. Sept. 28, at the main library, 305 Wick Ave.

Roberts has written 23 novels, a dozen short stories, eight screenplays and countless newspaper articles and reviews. He also wrote for and/or produced such TV shows as Candid Camera, The Jackie Gleason Show, Hollywood Squares, The Lucy Show, The Andy Giffith Show and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
