XYOUNGSTOWN — The wedding of Amy Colaprete and Joseph DeSantis, both of Poland, took place at 3 p.m. July 20 at St. Patrick Church.

The bride is a daughter of Dominic and Kathleen Colaprete of Poland, and Mr. DeSantis is a son of Quintino and Liliana DeSantis, also of Poland.

A reception followed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall, and the couple departed for a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia. They are living in Poland.

Fashioned of candlelight Dupioni silk, the bride’s strapless gown was embellished with beaded appliqués and featured a draped bodice and chapel train.

AnneMarie Hurdley was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Elisa Cavalier, Andrea Cicoretti, Christina DeSantis, Amy Roth, Colleen Shamburger, Diana Shirilla and Denise Stackhouse. Junior bridesmaid was Leah Schiavi. They wore chocolate-brown gowns. Flower girls were Alexandra Cavalier and Olivia and Natalie DeSantis.

Best man was Christian DeSantis, and groomsmen were Steve Beshara, Frank Colaprete, Ron DeFabio, Tony Delfre, Tony Fusillo, Walter Hurdley and Tom Nicholudis. Ushers were Nelson Schiavi and Ricardo Verlezza.

A graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, the bride is a hospital coordinator with MVI Home Care.

Mr. DeSantis attended Youngstown State University and is owner and operator of Quints Auto Body in Boardman.
