CANFIELD

Aug. 20

Theft: Vehicle parts and accessories and several other items were stolen from the Canfield school district’s bus garage, 42 Wadsworth St.

Aug. 23

Felony: Canfield Police charged two Poland residents with several felony counts resulting from a burglary on East Main Street. Stolen items were then sold on eBay for about $53,000.

Criminal damaging: A woman on Maple Street reported her vehicle was vandalized.

Aug. 25

Theft/receiving stolen property: A 41-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on allegations of shoplifting two packages of T-bone steaks at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., and receiving stolen property and his 34-year-old female companion, also from Youngstown, was arrested on allegations of stealing three packages of bed linens and four packages of pillowcases.

AUSTINTOWN

Aug. 20

Auto theft: A 2001 Falcon car hauler and a 21-foot black trailer were stolen from Used Car Connection, 5202 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A woman is a suspect in theft of cash and a debit card from an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.

Attempted fraud: An attempt was made to remove cash from the victim’s bank account in the 1000 block of Signature Place.

Theft: Items were stolen from a vehicle parked in a vacant lot on Clarkins Drive.

Burglary: Narcotics were stolen but there was no sign of forced entry at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Aug. 21

Criminal damaging: Four tires were slashed at a home in the 80 block of North Raccoon Road.

Attempted theft: A vehicle’s trunk lid was damaged with a pry tool at True 2 Form, 5461 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A cell phone was stolen from a victim’s purse in the 300 block of Victoria Road.

Attempted auto theft: The steering column was damaged on a vehicle at a home in the 2000 block of Innwood Street.

Attempted burglary: A storm door was pulled open but would-be thieves were unable to enter the main door of a home in the 300 block of Westminster Avenue.

Attempted theft: The rear sliding window was broken out on a vehicle at True 2 Form.

Theft: An 84-year-old woman was issued a summons for theft at Rulli Bros., 4331 Kirk Road.

Theft: A total of $36.92 was taken on two separate occasions from the Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A man was arrested and put in county jail on allegations of a theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A debit card was stolen at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 22

Theft: A woman was arrested on allegations of theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: An in-dash stereo was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

Burglary: A furnace and air-conditioning unit were stolen from a home in the 70 block of Placid Boulevard.

Theft: A man is a suspect in a theft at a home in the 300 block of Idlewood Road.

Theft: An Apple iPod was stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 100 block of Maple Leaf Avenue.

Theft: Jewelry was taken from a home in the 3000 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Aug. 23

Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was broken at a home in the 5000 block of Tarrytown Lane.

Receiving stolen property: A 17-year-old is a suspect in an incident in a carport in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: A camera was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Drug offense: An Austintown woman was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony drug warrant from Cuyahoga County at the Knights Inn, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.

Burglary: Entry was gained through the east window at a home in the 100 block of South Main Street.

Criminal damaging: A scratch was made on the trunk of a vehicle at a home in the 200 block of South Navarre Avenue.

Criminal damaging: The locks on two outdoor freezers behind concessions stands were removed and the latches damaged at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Aug. 24

Criminal damaging: Signs and floodlights were damaged at a home in the 1000 block of West Hampton Court.

Theft: A daily planner and papers were stolen at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged by a homemade bomb in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Aug. 25

Breaking and entering structure: A total of $1,000 worth of Craftsman tools were stolen at a home in the 1000 block of Woodland Trace.

Theft: Patrons walked out without paying for their meals at Perkins, 5550 Interstate Boulevard.

Drug offense: Police issued a Youngstown man a summons for possession of marijuana. They also charged a Youngstown woman with four felonies — trafficking in cocaine, marijuana, crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia — at the TA Truck Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: Car parts were stolen from a vehicle on Notre Dame Avenue.

Drug offense: Police charged a juvenile girl from Youngstown with possession of drug paraphernalia at Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: A CD/DVD player and radio were stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.

Aug. 26

Theft: Patrons walked out without paying a food bill at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave. Aggravated robbery: A black man, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, pulled out a blue semiautomatic pistol during a robbery at Uni-Mart, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A total of $60 was stolen from the cash drawer at Taco Bell, 850 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A suspect stole meats, which were recovered, from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave. The suspect fled on foot.

Theft: More than $53 in fuel was stolen on three separate occasions from the Sheetz gas station.
