Columbiana prepares for fair


COLUMBIANA — The city of Columbiana and the local American Legion will host their 121st Street Fair on Sept. 6-8 on Main Street in the city.

Fair activities will start with a parade at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6. This year’s festivities also include:

UA quarter-mile midway with rides for kids and people of all ages. Kids will receive a discount on junior rides from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 8.

UThe “big” exhibit tent featuring displays and merchandise from merchants, clubs and civic organizations.

UAbout $2,000 in prizes and $5,750 in cash give-aways.

UA free shuttle bus from Firestone Park to the midway the evenings of Sept. 7 and 8.

U“Street Fair” hamburgers from the American Legion’s Eats Trailer.

UMusical entertainment, including “Elvis” at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6, “Yada” at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 7, “Tribute Band” 8:30 p.m. Sept. 8.
