- FREE STUFF: There is an admission price to get into the fair, of course, but did you know the annual exposition offers a variety of free things to see and do? Have you ever wanted to milk a cow? Well you can do so for FREE at the fair.

- 4-H ROYALTY: The 4-H king and queen will be crowned Thursday. Read the profiles of the candidates vying for the prestigious title.

- SCHEDULE: The entire six-day schedule of events will be available for you to plan your trip to the annual event, which will include performances by Kenny Rogers, Oak Ridge Boys, Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy and James Otto.

- SHARE THE FAIR: Ask any Marine or soldier in the Middle East — or anywhere bullets are flying — home and all it represents is why they are there. A touch of home is what Cleveland State University professor John Schupp is offering to bring to U.S. military personnel through his Share the Fair program. Under the program, Schupp lends video cameras during fair week to military families with loved ones overseas so they can create their own personal documentary of their visit.

- MAP: Do you ever get lost at the fair? Most know where the grandstand is on the fairgrounds, but what about the Hay & Grain Building? A map of the fairgrounds will be available in the Entertainment section.

THROUGHOUT FAIR WEEK

Read The Vindicator and visit Vindy.com for feature stories, listings and highlights each day of the fair. Also, be sure to stop by and visit The Vindicator tent at the fair. It’s located in front of the grandstand.
