A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:
GIRARD
Aug. 22
Assault: A South Market Street man alleged a 31-year-old intoxicated relative struck him and his daughter, 14, and pulled the girl’s hair when confronted about the relative’s behavior.
Theft: A Lowellville man told police a toolbox containing about $1,500 worth of tools was stolen from his truck as he performed electrical work in the 700 block of South State Street.
Criminal trespassing: A Lincoln Avenue man reported his former wife and former girlfriend came to his residence uninvited and tried to start a fight with him and his wife.
LIBERTY
Aug. 17
Criminal damaging: A Girard man found damage to his trailer in a field near Kris Drive. The damage estimate was $750.
Theft by deception: A worker for a McDonald’s restaurant, 3630 Belmont Ave., told police a Warren man, 50, shortchanged the business $60 over three days.
Theft: A Sampson Drive woman reported the theft of a $300 mountain bike in the 5700 block of Lamplighter Road.
Domestic violence: A 14-year-old Youngstown girl was charged after police received a report of an altercation between a mother and daughter near Colonial Drive. The victim alleged the teen punched her in the face, cutting her lip, as she tried to get her daughter to come home.
Theft: A Hadley Road woman reported her wallet stolen from her purse at her residence.
Aug. 18
Drugs: While conducting a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive, officers took a Youngstown woman, 21, into custody on a charge of possession of marijuana. The woman admitted a bag of the suspected drug in the car and suspected marijuana in her purse were hers, police said.
Robbery: After responding to a report of someone using a phony prescription to obtain OxyContin at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., police charged a 46-year-old Youngstown man with robbery and deception to obtain a dangerous drug, a felony. The suspect shoved a pharmacist who tried to detain him before fleeing, authorities said.
Criminal damaging: While responding to a disturbance in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive, police arrested a Youngstown man, 29, and charged him with criminal damaging. He was accused of punching and breaking a side window during an argument with his girlfriend.
Arrest: A traffic stop near Gypsy Lane resulted in the arrest of a 50-year-old Youngstown woman wanted on a warrant from Hubbard charging her with burglary.
Aug. 19
Arrest: Police issued a summons to a Youngstown man, 51, they said was intoxicated and had urinated on a front lawn in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive.
Misuse of a credit card: A Canfield woman found out her stolen credit card was used to make a $60.49 purchase at Giant Eagle.
Bad checks: An employee with Home Savings and Loan, 3500 Belmont Ave., reported a Hermitage, Pa., man had been cashing checks at various bank branches for a company with no accounts at the business. He deposited checks at one branch and withdrew funds from another, police were told.
Menacing: A Scott Lane woman found two phone messages in which she and her daughter were threatened with harm.
Aug. 20
Theft: Police arrested a 23-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after lotion, soap and deodorant were stolen from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave.
Theft: An Allentown, Pa., man discovered a gold wristwatch, a diamond wedding band and a class ring missing from his motel room in the 4000 block of Belmont Avenue. The loss came to $10,500.
Arrest: A 23-year-old Warren man faced charges of menacing and resisting arrest as he accompanied a woman seeking information from police about her vehicle having been towed. In response, the man threatened to harm an officer and fled from authorities, police said.
Aug. 21
Theft: A Tibbetts-Wick Road woman reported a credit card and $500 stolen from her purse at an undetermined location.
Aug. 22
Recovered property: A vehicle registration check in the 4200 block of Belmont Avenue revealed that a 1984 Chevrolet Caprice had been stolen in Niles.

Aug. 18
Theft: A motorist left a Shell True North station, 204 W. Liberty St., without paying for gasoline.
Theft: A Prescott Street man reported a radio stolen from his truck.
Theft: A Bentley Avenue woman reported the theft of a bicycle from her home.
Attempted theft: A Clingan Street man told police a 17- or 18-year-old teen tried to take an electric four-wheel vehicle from his garage.
Aug. 19
Criminal damaging: A man and his son reported a juvenile threw the son's bicycle over a bridge near East Water Street.
Recovered property: An East Water Street woman took possession from police of a bicycle that had been taken from her son.
Aug. 21
Criminal mischief: Police found melted crayon wax on a picnic table as well as other light damage at Jones Park on Jones Street.
Auto theft: An Orchard Avenue woman reported her vehicle stolen.
Auto theft: An Orchard Avenue man reported the theft of his 1997 Oldsmobile Delta 88.
Aug. 22
Recovered property: An Orchard Avenue woman found her vehicle after having reported it stolen.
