Police: 2 sold stolen items on eBay

The memorabilia was from all over the world.

CANFIELD — Police have charged two people with stealing World War II memorabilia and jewelry from an East Main Street woman and selling it on eBay for $53,000.

Anthony Cash, 32, and his girlfriend, Shawn Dunn, 39, both of Poland, are charged in a scheme in which Cash befriended the victim by offering to fix her roof and do odd jobs for her, said Canfield Detective Brian McGivern. The two live at 60 Colonial Estates Drive, Apt. 1.

McGivern said the victim was moving into her house on East Main when she met Cash in late April. As she moved items into the house, Cash took them, McGivern said.

Items stolen included photographs, maps and coins. “She really had no idea of the value of what she had,” McGivern said. The woman’s father, a career military man, has passed away, he said. He had memorabilia from all over the world.
