XGIRARD — The marriage of Lisa Himes and David Zalovcik, both of 44 Furlen Court, Hubbard, was solemnized by the Rev. Peter Haladej at 2 p.m. June 2 at St. Rose Church.

The daughter of Charles and Nancy Himes, 2538 Poplar St., and the son of Michael and Deborah Zalovcik, 224 S. Hazelwood Ave., Youngstown, accepted congratulations later that day during a reception at the Holiday Inn, Boardman.

The couple delayed their wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando until this month. They live in Hubbard.

The neckline, hemline and train of the bride’s strapless A-line gown was enhanced with multicolored embroidery.

Lemon-yellow gowns were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Jocelyn Himes of Girard, and the bridesmaids, Jennifer Wess of Youngstown; Jada Hines of New Castle, Pa.; Crystal Flynn Zalovcik of Youngstown, the groom’s sister-in-law; and Stephanie Zalovcik of Youngstown, his sister.

Michael Zalovcik Jr. of Youngstown performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Charlie Colantone of Boardman, Andy Golec of Austintown, and Jeff and Joe Kupec, both of Youngstown.

The bride has completed her spatial arts minor in ceramics and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in medicine at Youngstown State University.

The groom, a member of UFCW Local 880, is employed at Giant Eagle in Canfield.
