XBOARDMAN — The Rev. David Joachim officiated at 2:30 p.m. July 7 at Westminster Presbyterian Church for the marriage of Bethany Joy Patch and Brian Patrick Lopatta, both of 123 N. Cadillac Drive.

The daughter of William Patch, 409 Glenwood Court, and the late Karen Patch, and the son of Robert and Nancy Lopatta, 6686 Appleridge Drive, were honored at a reception at Fonderlac Country Club, New Springfield.

After a honeymoon at Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple live in Boardman.

The bride’s white satin gown was enhanced with beading and featured an asymmetrical ruched waistline, a laced-up corset back and a chapel-length train.

Kristen Facemyer was the honor attendant for her sister, and bridesmaids were Lori Campbell, Kate Colla, Amanda Nosal, Hillary Skok and Kara Voytko. The bride’s niece, Elisabeth Facemyer, was the flower girl.

Best man was the groom’s brother, Robert Lopatta, and groomsmen were Ron Delisio, Erik Sardich, Brian Tibolla, Guy Young and the groom’s cousin, Jim Lopatta.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Ashland University. She is a second-grade teacher at Hilltop Elementary School in Canfield.

The groom is employed by the state of Ohio as a claims examiner at the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services in Youngstown. He graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree.
