XLOWELLVILLE — The Hawaiian island of Maui was the honeymoon destination of Jesse Coon and his bride, the former Melissa Nero, after their 1 p.m. wedding July 14 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and reception afterward at St. Lucy Banquet Center in Campbell.

The bride, a daughter of Mario and Denise Nero of Lowellville, and the groom, a son of William and Betty Coon of Sharon, Pa., live in Lowellville since their return.

Embellished with beading, the bride’s white satin gown featured a sweetheart neckline, lace cap sleeves, a draped bodice, laced-up back and chapel train.

Wearing Victorian-lavender gowns were the bride’s sisters and honor attendants, Tamara and Amanda Nero, and the bridesmaids, Michalene Coon, sister of the groom, and Gina Roth and Colleen Duncan, cousins of the bride.

Performing the duties of best man was Eric Mausser, and groomsmen were Stephen Serwatka, Mike Roberson, Jeff Meyers and the bride’s brother, Mario Nero.

The bride graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with a degree in middle-childhood education. She is employed by Austintown Local Schools as a teacher at Austintown Middle School.

The groom is a NAFTA logistics and business development manager with Dalko Resources Inc. in Sharpsville, Pa.
