Felony drug abuse: A 38-year-old Youngstown man was charged with drug abuse after police found cocaine on him and seized a bag of crack cocaine on Herbert Road.

Theft from auto: Fairway Ford, 366 W. Main St., reported that a 1997 green Pontiac Grand Prix was stripped of two taillights, headlights and a chrome-plated dash.

Aug. 16

Passing bad checks: A man purchasing a car gave a $1,000 check as a down payment drawn on a closed account at JR Auto City, Inc., 439 Lisbon St.

Aug. 18

Drugs: A 24-year-old Canfield man was arrested on charges of drug abuse, obtaining and possessing, at East Main Street and Barnstone Lane after police found six painkillers and 20 antibiotics on him.

Aug. 13

Theft from auto: Sockets and three sets of darts were stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: Eleven compact discs and nine movies or games were stolen from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave., and two men were arrested, one from Youngstown for theft and drug instruments, the second from Boardman for complicity and three outstanding warrants with Austintown police.

Criminal damaging: A 6-foot scratch to a 1995 Chevrolet Beretta was reported at an apartment in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Theft: A man was arrested on charges of theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Two female juveniles were arrested on charges of theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 14

Theft from auto: 125 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen in the parking lot at Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.

Criminal damaging: A window as shattered and three juveniles are suspects at a construction site in the 100 block of Westchester Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle windshield was damaged at Hillbrook Apartments.

Criminal damaging: A vinyl fence was damaged at a residence in the 1000 block of Idaho Road.

Aug. 15

Theft: A handgun was stolen in the 30 block of North Main Street.

Theft: $21.46 in fuel was stolen at BP gas station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: Merchandise was damaged and a male is a suspect at CB Sales and Electronics, 5325 Seventy-Six Drive.

Aug. 16

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was arrested on drug charges for possession of marijuana at an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Aug. 17

Identity theft: An Austintown woman’s identity was stolen, and a $4,000 online transaction was made against her credit account.

Theft: Cigarettes were reported taken from an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Theft: A black and gray Condor bicycle was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.

Theft: $20.02 in fuel was taken at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Burglary: Money was taken from a home in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Aug. 18

Drug offense: A Columbus woman was issued a summons on charges of possession of marijuana on Woodmere at Western Drive.

Criminal damaging: Four tires were cut on a Chevrolet Cobalt in the north lot at 80 N. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: Two tires were cut on a Cadillac at a home in the 5000 block of Baylor Street.

Criminal damaging: The brakes on a GMC van were possibly tampered with at a home in the 1000 block of County Line Road.

Criminal mischief: Drawings were made on a driveway and a note was left at a home in the 3000 block of Meander Reserve Circle.

Lost or stolen purse: A purse and its contents were lost or stolen at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Nearly $100 in fuel was stolen at Sheetz Gas Station, 5499 Mahoning Ave., over four thefts.

Burglary: A door was broken and pills were stolen and then returned at an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A motorcycle was damaged at a home in the 400 block of Wilcox Road.

Theft from auto: A laptop computer was stolen from an auto at the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft from auto: A Samsung cell phone was stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Carlisle Avenue.

Theft: Socks, pain patches and other miscellaneous merchandise was stolen from Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: $150 was stolen from a victim’s purse in a locker at J.C. Penney, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Nearly $185 in fuel was stolen from Sheetz gas station, in 10 thefts.

Theft from auto: A phone was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Nottingham Drive.

Counterfeit money: A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at Shell gas station, 1704 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A window pane was broken at a home in the 3000 block of Crum Road.

Weapons offense: A man was arrested on a charge of illegal possession of a pistol at Pembrook Road and Orkney Drive.

Theft: A men’s watch was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Woodland Trace.
