Billy Graham continues hospital stay

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Evangelist Billy Graham watched his usual televised worship service from a hospital Sunday as he continued to recover from intestinal bleeding Sunday, staff and family members said.

Graham, 88, was admitted Saturday for evaluation and treatment. Hospital officials said in a news release that he watched the service of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, S.C., as he does each Sunday at home, then ate chicken for lunch.

Graham has been walking in the hallways near his room, and continues to visit with friends and family, the hospital said. There was no estimate on when he would be discharged.

Graham’s wife of 64 years, Ruth Bell Graham, died in June after a lengthy illness.
