Offensive/defensive Formations: I-formation offense/5-3 defense

Outlook: With 16 returning lettermen and nine starters back on each side of the ball, Wellsville is one of the two preseason favorites (along with Leetonia) to win the Inter Tri-County League Tier Two crown. Sophomore quarterback Bubba Dowling will need to grow up quickly but the rest of the Tigers' offense seems set, with running back Jeff Hanselman and wide receiver Zane Carter looking for big years. Defensively, Carter (the team leader in interceptions last year) and Ryan Crabtree (who led the team in tackles from his linebacker spot) lead a talented group.
