Poland (Div. III)

Poland (Div. III)

Head Coach: Mark Brungard, third year (11-9)

Coaching Staff: Ryan Williams, Rick Dinunzio, Reid Lamport, Paul Hulea, Andy Colella, Kevin Rauch.

Offensive/defensive Formations: Wing-T offense/4-4 defense

Outlook: The Bulldogs won a share of the league title last fall but a terrific 2006 season ended on a sour note when a last-second Canfield field goal took away an outright league title and a playoff berth. Although the Bulldogs lost a few key players from that team, Poland has plenty of talent returning, including five starters on each side of the ball. Gannon Hulea looks poised to step in at quarterback for Chris Lovell, while Greg Sabol, Trent Vallinger and Tyler Vallinger will carry the rushing load. The Bulldogs should be in the mix for another league crown, especially now that Brungard has had two years to put in his own system. Former coach Paul Hulea is one of his assistants.

Returning Lettermen: Pitzulo, Turnbull, Baird, Perruzzi, Vallinger, Vallinger, Hochendoner, Sabol, DePaul, Skoufatos, Bezilla, Columbo, Dugan, Simons, Hulea.
