Chaney, Wilson prepare to become one

Chaney High School, below, has been remodeled and expanded as Youngstown is downsized to two high schools. It’s a unique year for 2,300 students and hundreds of staff members. Half of Wilson High’s students last year will join students at Chaney for an enrollment of just over 1,200. School starts Sept. 4, but the weight room, left, at Chaney — formerly a locker room — is already getting a workout from the football team.
