Boardman (Div. I)

Boardman (Div. I)

Head Coach: D.J. Ogilvie, fourth year (4-26)

Coaching Staff: Mike Popio, DC/LB/OL; Roger Patterson, LB/OL; Jeff McLhinney, DE/TE; Mark D'Eramo, C/QB; Joe Ignazio, DL/RB; Joe Cleghorn, aerial/WR; Ed Lewis.

Offensive/defensive Formations: Spread on offense, 40 on defense

Outlook: Boardman’s 3-7 record in 2006 is misleading. The Spartans lost several close games in the closing minutes and easily could have posted their first winning record in four years. Boardman returns seven starters on each side of the ball, including standout running back Tyler Amendola. A winning season is definitely within reach and, if things go right, the Spartans could return to the postseason for the first time since 2001.

Returning Lettermen: Demarinis, Tuminello, Jarrett, DiSibio, Popio, Amendola, Polen, Shaffer, Rajkovich, Setz, Strasik, Holmes, Whitaker, Paradise, Klepec, Mills, Knight, Sypert, Snovak, Linsley, McFall.
