Youngstown cyclist killed in Brookfield hit-skip


BROOKFIELD — A Youngstown motorcycle rider is dead and Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are looking for a pickup truck that fled the crash scene on state Route 82 at Collar Price Road at 10:10 p.m. Thursday. Michael D. Brown, 32, no address given, was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital after the crash. The patrol’s Warren post said Brown, who wore a helmet, was westbound on 82, approaching the intersection of Collar Price, when a pickup heading south on Collar Price pulled from the stop sign and into the path of Brown’s motorcycle, which struck the left side of the pickup. The pickup then fled east on 82, the patrol said. Anyone having information about the crash is asked to call the patrol at (330) 898-2311.
