Woman accused of stabbing another woman over a man

YOUNGSTOWN — A butcher knife was used during a fight between two women arguing over a man in the 300 block of East Judson Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, police said. Renee J. Hightower, 21, of Roxbury Avenue was arrested on a felonious assault charge. The 25-year-old victim, who suffered cuts to her right elbow and forearm, told police that she’d gone to visit a male friend on the street when Hightower approached from a car and accused her of trying to “get with” the man and then began slashing with the butcher knife. The injured woman told police she was able to disarm Hightower and restrain her until officers arrived.
