Board approves permit for boarding kennel

MINERAL RIDGE — The Weathersfield Township Board of Zoning Appeals approved a conditional use permit for Carrie DeCesare to operate a full service dog boarding kennel on 4.68 acres.

The kennel will be located in front of her residence at 419 Salt Springs Road, Lordstown.

The board ruled that the kennel can have no more than 20 dogs boarded at a time and can only be operated by DeCesare and her husband.

The kennel, which will be 36 feet by 36 feet, is to be built in spring 2008, and will be called Broadview Acres Dog Boarding Resort.

The board also approved a variance request from Brad and Lisa Taylor, 2101 Oakwood St., Girard, to construct an in-ground swimming pool with less than the required 10 feet rear yard setback from the property line.
