The 16th annual Brier Hill Italian Fest gets under way tonight and runs all weekend, featuring music by John Gabriele and Frank Gallo Orchestra, among others. The festival begins at 5 tonight and Friday and noon over the weekend, and is centered around Calvin and Victoria streets, in the heart of the old North Side neighborhood.
Glendi, which is St. John Greek Orthodox Church’s annual Greek festival, also kicks off tonight and runs all weekend. The church is located at 4955 Glenwood Ave., near Shields Road, Boardman.

Elvis Presley impersonator Mark Lee Pringle will perform for free at 6:30 p.m. at Borders Book Store in Niles in honor of the 30th anniversary of the death of the king of rock ’n’ roll. Pringle portrays Elvis in his ’50s era, when the hip-shaking singer exploded on the scene and changed the pop music scene forever.
The Ashtabula, Carson and Jefferson Scenic Railroad will present a Wild West Weekend. Excursions will be 1, 3 and 5 p.m. today and 3 and 5 p.m. Sunday from the depot in Jefferson. A Western town, with a hotel, bank, jail and livery stable/undertaker will be set up, with a saloon full of gamblers. Gunfights and a bank robbery will break out, and the train will be held up during its ride. Fares are $12 for adults and $7:50 for children 12 and under. The Packard Concert Band will give a free performance at 7 p.m. at the South Lawn Band Shell of Packard Music Hall, Warren.
Pittsburgh-based guitar rockers The Clarks return to the area for a free concert at 7 p.m. at Morley Pavilion, in the Wick Recreation Area of Mill Creek Park in Youngstown.
