OPEN HOUSE BY ARTISANS: Abbie Serrino, 6, of Boardman, makes a clay pot at Lynn Cardwell’s pottery studio. An open house entitled Create With Clay and Glass will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday by several artisans, including Cardwell, with studios in the Ward Bakery Building. Visitors can visit Cardwell’s studio to make a textured bowl or vase; Marcie Applegate’s jewelry studio to make a pendant or pair of earrings from silver clay; and Fred Shepherd’s glass studio to make a fused glass project. Each project is $10, and no reservations are necessary. The Ward Bakery Building is located at 1024 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, across from the U-Haul Building.
