CHILDREN’S CHOIR Upcoming events and more

The ROCcK Children’s Choir is a group of young people who are cancer survivors, siblings and friends. The choir recently made its first compact disc. They sing at various events including Relay for Life. Upcoming performances are:

Aug. 26: At the 10:30 a.m. worship service at Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, 45 Idlewood Road, Austintown. The group will promote its CD and cancer awareness.

Sept. 8: A fund-raiser for the choir is planned from 3 to 7 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, and will feature a performance and pasta dinner.

About the CD: The cost is $14.99. It is available at Barnes and Noble and Landmark Restaurant, both Boardman; Glorious Homes Inc., Austintown; and Himes Tax Service, Youngstown.
