“Recycled Life” (7 p.m., Cinemax): They first arrived when civil war in Guatemala caused coffee prices to drop, forcing farmers in great numbers from the countryside. Then many of these unskilled workers took miserable refuge in the Guatemala City Garbage Dump, where for more than 60 years they’ve raised their families and eked out a living in what has been called the most toxic area in all of Central America. But these thousands of “gaujeros” have survived and carried on, and an acclaimed documentary shows how. “Recycled Life” depicts an unlikely society, and an even unlikelier public works project: As they comb through the city’s trash for items that can be reused or sold for recycling, these guajeros are reducing Gautemala’s waste by one million pounds per day.
“Elvis by the Presleys” (8 p.m., TV Land): This two-hour retrospective is hosted by Elvis’ widow Priscilla Presley and daughter Lisa Marie Presley. At 10 p.m., the network airs a new episode of “Myths and Legends” focusing on Elvis and his family.
Elvis Presley films (all day, TCM): A full day’s worth of Elvis films, starts at 6 a.m. with “Stay Away, Joe.” Also included are “Jailhouse Rock at 8 p.m. and “Viva Las Vegas” at 10 p.m.
“So You Think You Can Dance?” (8 p.m., Fox): The votes are in and tonight we’ll finally be introduced to the winner of “So You Think You Can Dance?” But first comes another challenge that gives the finalists one last chance to strut their stuff in front of the judges. Host Cat Deeley is on hand to crown the champ.
“Blog Cabin” (9 p.m., DIY): This sounds like a fun interactive series. The show allows Internet users to determine the key design elements of a beautiful log cabin nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains. The construction process, from start to finish, will be shown, and when it’s all over a lucky viewer will win it.
