Drunk driving checkpoints Thursday, Saturday
WARREN — The Trumbull County OVI Task Force and area police departments will operate a sobriety checkpoint to deter and intercept impaired drivers on Thursday and Saturdayat unspecified locations.
The checkpoints will be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injuries and fatal crashes.
The task force asks those who plan to consume alcohol to designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before drinking.
Funding for the OVI Task Force is provided by a grant through the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Governors Highway Safety Office.
