A listing of food sales and dinners is published Wednesday. Please submit information for takeout and sit-down dinners to the Society Department before 5 p.m. Monday.

THURSDAY

• Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., Warren, will sell wedding soup from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The price is $6 a quart. To place an order, call (330) 372-4998.

FRIDAY

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; and bread and butter, coffee or tea. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

SATURDAY

• North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will hold a chicken barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $3.75 for children 3 to 10.

SUNDAY

• Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10. Those under 6 may eat for free. Carryouts also will be available; containers can be purchased or patrons may provide their own.

• St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will serve dinners of homemade cavatelli, meatballs, sauce, salad, bread, and beverage from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 11, and free for those 4 and under.

UPCOMING

• G.U.A.R.D. (Girard Against Ruinous Dumping) will host an all-you-can-eat Amish chicken and roast beef dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, South State St., Girard. Meals will include old-fashioned stuffing, real mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade bread, green beans and coleslaw. Desserts include butterscotch-date pudding and a variety of homemade pies. Coffee, tea and punch will be included. The cost is $15 for adults, $7 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under. No tickets will be sold at the door. • An Amish dinner will be held as a fundraiser from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road. Meals include baked chicken, roast beef, stuffing, real mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade bread, green beans, and coleslaw. Desserts include date pudding and a variety of homemade pies. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for children 5 to 10, and free for those 4 and under. There will be a 50-50 raffle and Chinese auctions. Seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling (330) 747-5111.

• Salem Masonic Temple is holding its monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Aug. 25 at the temple, 788 E. State St. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children 3 to 10 and free for those 2 and under. The menu will include waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, sausage gravy, biscuits, home fries, coffee, tea, toast and orange juice. Carryout will be available. A handicap-accessible elevator is on the premises.
