Two arrested on East Side
YOUNGSTOWN — Two arrests were made in the Stiles Market parking lot on Stiles Avenue on the East Side after police found a gun, marijuana and a stolen car, reports show. The unlicensed driver of the stolen car, a 16-year-old Atkinson Avenue boy reported as a runaway, was turned over to his mother Monday evening and expected to face charges in juvenile court. Police said a bag of marijuana was found near the door jamb when he got out of the car. While the boy was being questioned, Fanon Vines, 29, of South Truesdale Avenue ran through rear yards when police approached him near the store. A loaded gun fell as he ran, police said. He was caught near McGuffey Road and arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
