REUNIONS | Classes, families announce get-togethers


• The 67th annual Barnhouse reunion will be held Sunday at the home of Gary and Debbie (Barnhouse) Booth, 45521 Crestview Road, New Waterford. Those attending are reminded to take covered dishes, beverages and table services for the 2 p.m. meal. Available will be horseshoes, corn hole, fishing and a swimming pond. • The 90th reunion of the Bricker and Long families will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 26 in Pavilion 1 at Coy Memorial Park, state Route 165, west of Greenford. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish or two and a table service. Dawnyel Monroe and Becky McLemore are in charge of games; the table committee will be Barb Feicht, Rick and Laurie Strabal and Shirley McLemore. Officers are Mary Rhodes, president; Theresa Depp, vice president; and Debbie Slagle, secretary/treasurer.

• Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1954 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denny's on Route 224 in Boardman. Guests are welcome.

• Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1956 will meet for brunch at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bedford Trails in Coitsville. Guests are welcome.

• Today is the reservation deadline for the 50th reunion of Chaney High School Class of 1957, which will take place Thursday through Saturday. Call Mike and Rose Antonoff at (330) 793-1526. Activities include a tour of the high school, a social at Youngstown Crab Co., a banquet at the Holiday Inn and a picnic.

• East High Class of 1944 will hold a reunion on Sept. 8 at Mr. Anthony’s, South Avenue, Boardman. The social will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 6. The cost is $30 a person, and reservations and checks are to be sent to Marion McDermott, 121-1 Talsman Drive, Canfield 44406.

• East High School Class of 1977 reunion banquet on Saturday will be held at Johnny’s Restaurant, 7807 Market St., Boardman, instead of at Archangel Michael Hall, Campbell. Hospitality night will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Jillians in Southern Park Mall and begin at 10 p.m. at Skeeter’s Jazz Bar and Grill on Plaza West, downtown Youngstown, and a church service will be at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at Union Baptist Church, 528 Lincoln Ave. The cost is $70 for a classmate and $100 for a couple. • Descendants of Henry Ohl will meet for the 130th Ohl reunion Sunday at Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Mineral Ridge. There will be a basket dinner at 12:30 p.m. Family dues are $2 and scholarship donations are welcome. Young people who have attended two business meetings qualify for a scholarship. • The Stefano & Stella Vivo 7th annual family reunion 100th anniversary celebration (Nov. 7, 1907-2007) will be Saturday, at Harding Park Pavilion 2, Hubbard, beginning at noon with lunch at 1 p.m. and the family picture at 2 p.m. Take a covered dish.
