Chartered flight hangar
IMPERIAL, Pa. — A company that provides chartered flights for sports teams and corporate jets to the area’s biggest corporations opened a new $5 million hangar and charter terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport. The facility, opened Monday by Atlantic Aviation Services Inc., of Dallas, more than doubles the size of the company’s operations at the airport and about 25 jobs will be added to the 45 already there, officials said.
About 90 percent of Atlantic’s business involves corporate jets. The Steelers and Penguins will also use the new facility for their charter flights, as will visiting sports teams and celebrities, officials said.

Hotel toothpaste recall
INDIANAPOLIS — A leading supplier of toiletries for hotels and resorts said Monday it was recalling worldwide complimentary tubes of toothpaste made in China after tests showed some may contain a potentially toxic chemical. It was the latest in a series of recalls of Chinese-made goods — toothpaste, children’s toys, tires and pet food — because of shoddy and perhaps dangerous manufacturing methods.
Gilchrist & Soames is recalling its 18-milliliter or 0.65-ounce tubes with the name Gilchrist & Soames on them. The company said Monday that some samples showed the tubes contained diethylene glycol, a chemical found in antifreeze that can be toxic to the kidneys and liver. The toothpaste was made China by Ming Fai Enterprises International Co. Ltd.
The Food and Drug Administration is not aware of any U.S. reports of poisonings from the toothpaste, according to a statement from the company.
