XYOUNGSTOWN — The Marble Room at Stambaugh Auditorium was the setting at 2 p.m. June 16 as nuptial vows were exchanged by Kristen Mae Lape, 6255 Diana Drive, Poland, and Jason Anthony Wermuth, 5952 Jake Sears Circle, Virginia Beach, Va.
Pastor Anthony Lagamba presided, and a reception followed at the Byzantine Center at the Grove. Afterward, they left on a wedding trip to Fort Myers, Fla.
Anthony and Paige Lape of the Poland address are parents of the bride, and the groom’s parents are Mike Wermuth of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Lorraine Wermuth of Virginia Beach.
The bride’s strapless satin gown was embellished with satin embroidery and beading.
Latte-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Denean Posey, and the bridesmaids, the bride’s sisters, Emilie Lape and Catherine Lape, and her cousin, Elizabeth John, and the junior bridesmaid, Madeline Graziano. Flower girl was Lucy Graziano.
Best men were Steve Stewart and Chris Stefko, and groomsmen were Robert Rodrigues and the bride’s cousin, Adam Cunning.
The couple live in Virginia Beach.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and was an office assistant at its Beeghly College of Education. She will continue to pursue a degree in elementary education at Regent University in Virginia Beach, where she is employed in the university bookstore. The groom is an inquiry counselor at Regent University, where he earned a bachelor’s in psychology and is pursuing a master’s in divinity.
