Family settles in air crash
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — The estate of an Ohio man killed in the crash of Comair Flight 5191 last summer in Lexington has settled its lawsuit against the airline.
Documents filed Monday in U.S. District Court do not say how much Comair agreed to pay the estate of Jeffrey Williams, 49, of Centerville, Ohio, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported. The settlement must be approved by Judge Karl Forester.
So far, 10 families of victims of the crash have settled lawsuits against Comair, a regional carrier based in Erlanger, Ky., near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. More than 30 lawsuits have been filed.
The crash last Aug. 27 killed 49 of the 50 people aboard.
