XCOLUMBUS — Our Lady of Victory Church was the setting at 2:30 p.m. June 23 for the wedding of Daron A. Diener and Matthew J. Ducay, both of Aurora, Ill.

A reception was held after the ceremony at The Marriott in Dublin to honor the daughter of Randy and Pat Diener of Dublin and the son of Earl J. and Laurel Ducay, 8361 Hilltop Drive, Poland.

Since their return from a honeymoon at Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple live in Aurora.

The ivory, strapless mermaid-style gown worn by the bride was enhanced with crystals and pearls, and her bouquet contained ivory and pink roses and ivory miniature Calla lilies.

Aqua gowns with ivory sashes were worn by the honor attendant, Andrea Carmin of Durham, N.C., and the bridesmaids, Abby Ducay of Dublin, sister of the groom, and Susan Brown of Cincinnati. Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Riley and Jordan Chodak of Granville.

The duties of best man were performed by David Lockshaw of Poland, and groomsmen were Billy Esposito of Columbus and the bride’s brother, Scott Diener of Chicago. Serving as ushers were Joe Marstellar of Poland, Dan Picciano of Edina, Minn., and Brian Krichbaum of Columbus.

The bride and groom graduated from Ohio State University with bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering. She is employed by General Mills in Chicago, and he is employed by Ecolab, also in Chicago.
