Accent Media celebrates 4th anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN — Accent Media is celebrating its fourth year in business this month with a grand opening and public open house at 10 a.m. Thursday at its new 2,500-square-foot studio at 20 W. Federal Place.

The firm was previously located in a 650-square-foot space in Howland, where owner Charles Atkins started the business in August 2003. As of December 2006, the company had grown to eight employees and needed more space, Atkins said.

Accent Media provides production services such as television commercials, training videos, demonstration videos for consumer products and services, music videos, companion DVDs, health and exercise and trade show videos. The company also offers video transferring and duplication services such as VHS to DVD and DVD duplications.

An invitation-only open house for business and community leaders is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Accent Media’s newly renovated space includes an office complex and a shooting studio, Atkins said.

Accent’s sales and marketing director, Scott Fullerton, said the facilities can also be shared or rented by other photographers and videographers looking for space.
