Fundraisers set for two area groups

Richard Brown United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St. at Woodbine Avenue, Boardman, will hold a yard sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.Available will be household items, clothing and miscellaneous articles.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, Quarry Road, Lowellville, will host a Texas Hold ’Em poker tournament Sept. 22. Doors open at 2 p.m. and play begins at 3 in the nonsmoking facility. The entry fee is $100 with a 70 percent pay out. Players are encouraged to prepay and register to hold a seat. No one under 18 years of age admitted. Food and beverages will be provided with paid entry fee. Door sales will be based on availability.
