Clays to mark 50th anniversary by renewing vows
XNORTH LIMA — In observance of their 50th wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. George Clay, 236 Maplecroft Road, will renew their nuptial vows during a ceremony that will take place at 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at Simon Road Church of God in Boardman, where they are members.
Invitations have been issued for the ceremony and for a reception afterward by the couple’s sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Brenda Clay and David Clay, all of Boardman, and Timothy and Debra Clay of Youngstown.
There are six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter in the family.
The former Margaret Griffith and Mr. Clay were united in marriage Aug. 17, 1957.
Mrs. Clay retired as a health-care assistant. Mr. Clay served with the U.S. Navy and retired from Browning-Ferris Industries.
