Celebration held for Chepke 50th by their family
XCANFIELD — A buffet reception was held July 20 at A La Cart Catering in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene J. Chepke, 203 Callahan Road.
Hosts for the festivity were the couple’s daughters and their husbands, Diana and Rick Kasprzyk of Villa Park, Ill.; Beth and Tim Cimperman of Asheville, N.C.; and Tami and James Miller of Fredericksburg, Va. There are four grandsons in the family, Brian and Steve Kasprzyk and Jason and Cameron Miller.
The former Ramona Battershell and Mr. Chepke were united in marriage July 27, 1957, at Bolton Methodist Church in Alliance. They are members of Rockview Christian Church.
Mrs. Chepke taught the third and fourth grades in Lewisville for two years and was a special-education tutor with Austintown schools for 16 years prior to retiring in 1994.
Mr. Chepke, who served as a corpsman with the U.S. Army, was a teacher and coach for two years at Jackson Milton High School and a teacher, coach and athletic director at Austintown Fitch High School for 27 years, retiring in 1989.
