“State of the Black Union 2007” (6 p.m., TV One): Travis Smiley’s annual conference on black issues, this year titled “Jamestown, America’s 400th Anniversary: The African American Imprint on America,” is the basis of three hour-long specials airing tonight, next Sunday and Aug. 26, with rebroadcasts at 1 p.m. Wednesdays. In the first special, shot at Norfolk’s Hampton University, former Virginia Gov. L. Douglas Wilder and the Rev. Al Sharpton take part in a discussion on the nation’s first black settlers.
“9/11 Conspiracies” (8 p.m., History Channel): Theories espoused by members of the self-named “9/11 Truth Movement” are examined in this special, hosted by NBC’s Lester Holt. The group rejects commonly accepted beliefs about the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
