Free backpacks will be given to needy kids

YOUNGSTOWN — Three church groups will be offering free backpacks and school supplies to needy local children from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. August 18 at Wick Park.

Backpacks will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Children must be accompanied by and adult.
