Police search house for child porn
GIRARD — Police are trying to determine who obtained child pornography at a home on Indiana Avenue.
Detective Greg Manente said officers used a search warrant in the 400 block of Indiana on Tuesday in search of child pornography. He said FBI officials gave city police information leading them to this address.
Information received by the department deals with the trading or obtaining of pictures of children in sexual situations. Manente said he could not divulge the age or sex of the children.
Manente said officers confiscated computers from the home that will be sent for testing, but he would not say what other evidence was collected.
No one was home when officers searched the Indiana residence. Police believe the father and son who live in the house are out of town. Police, Manente said, are looking to question both individuals.
“There are two adult males living in the house and we are not sure who is responsible for this. It could be either or both,” he said.
