XCAMPBELL — Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 2 p.m. ceremony as Dawn M. Nicholas and Michael G. Essad Jr. were united in marriage July 7 at Christ Community Church.

Officiating at the wedding was Pastor William Rotar.

A reception was held in Lowellville to honor the couple before they left for a honeymoon in Orlando, Fla.

Since their return they live in Youngstown.

Michele and Stanley Nicholas of Campbell are the bride’s parents, and the groom is a son of Michael and Jeanne Essad of Youngstown and Donna Viars of Mena, Ariz.

The bride’s ivory gown featured spaghetti straps and was adorned with sequins, pearls and satin flowers. The A-line skirt was edged with scalloped lace and flowed into a chapel train.

Lilac gowns were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Jennifer Miller, and the bridesmaids, Kayla Smerk, her cousin; Shannon Spicker, a sister of the groom; and Hailey Essad, his daughter. Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Caleigh Miller.

The duties of best man were performed by the groom’s father, and serving as groomsmen were Robert Miller, the bride’s brother-in-law; Eric Spicker, the groom’s brother-in-law; and the groom’s son, James Essad.

Also participating were the couple’s twins, Anthony and Anissa Essad.
