XAUSTINTOWN — After a wedding trip to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, Nathan Summers and his bride, the former Jennifer Mines, live in La Plata, Md.
The couple were married June 30 at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church by the Rev. Peter Tomas and were honored afterward during a reception at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.
The bride is a daughter of Richard and Mary Mines of Vienna, and the groom is a son of William and Cynthia Summers of Fowler.
The bride worn a strapless A-line gown of ivory satin and completed her ensemble with a cathedral-length veil.
Celadon-green gowns were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Kristina Mines, and the bridesmaids, Heather Summers, a sister of the groom; Eli Konwest; Jess Stayton; Shanna Delaney; and Erica Pinko a cousin of the bride. The groom’s cousin, Shianne Tucker, was flower girl.
Nathan Heflick served as best man, and groomsmen were Matthew Mistak, a cousin of the groom; Jonathan Kelp; Kevin Faber; Matthew Deiwert; and Branning Street. Ring bearer was the groom’s cousin, Dennis Giraldo.
Mrs. Summers graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University with a degree in early childhood education. Later this month, she will begin teaching preschool with Charles County Public Schools in Waldorf, Md.
Mr. Summers graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University with a degree in middle childhood education.
