State fire marshal investigates New Castle blaze

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is investigating two fires at 1058 Beckford St. New Castle firefighters said they were called to the house at 8:30 p.m. Sunday and at 5 a.m. today. They don’t believe the second call was a rekindling from the first fire. Firefighters said when they arrived there were flames in multiple spots of the vacant home. The owner had not been identified this morning.
