Three Champion cheerleaders to be in Macy’s Parade

Champion High School varsity cheerleading captains Morgan McGraw, Katie Bacorn and Tiffany Lucik have accepted an invitation to perform in a professionally choreographed routine in the 2007 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

To raise money for the trip, the girls will be washing cars Friday and again Aug. 17 at the Burger King in Champion. Accompanying them on the trip will be their coach, Jenn Soukenik. During their six days in the city, they will study dance with two noted New York choreographers and perform with an 800-member squad made up of cheer squad captains from across the country.

Contributions will be accepted until Nov. 16. Donations can be made payable to Champion Cheerleader Boosters with a note in the memo, “Macy’s parade.” They can be sent to Champion High School, Cheer Boosters Macy Parade, 5976 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44483
