Warrant issued in Warren homicide

WARREN – Police are searching for a suspect in the city’s latest homicide.

Police Lt. Gary Vingle said Wednesday that a warrant charging 22-year-old Mario Q. Sellers of Warren with murder has been issued by the municipal court.

The warrant was obtained by Detectives Wayne Mackey and Justin Soroka in the Sunday morning shooting death of Joseph D. Daniel, who was gunned down in the parking lot of a North Side bar.

The death of Daniel, 33, of Palmyra Road Southwest, has been ruled a homicide, the seventh in the city this year, compared with three during the same period a year ago.
