Two car shows planned for the weekend

BOARDMAN — Two car shows will be held this weekend.

The Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club’s free annual Cars in the Park show will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Boardman Park.

Car pre-registration is $6 per car and $10 per car at the gate. There will be 24 judged classes at the show, and there will be an additional toy car and truck show for children 5 to 15 years old. Registration must be received by 1 p.m. the day of the event. Call (330) 792-9457 for more information.

A country classic car show is planned from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 13519 Woodworth Road, New Springfield. Rain date is Aug. 11. There also will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, disk jockey and food.
