Sevendust works on its own agenda
Like the late Rodney Dangerfield, the members of Sevendust feel as though they, well, don’t get any respect.
Together for more than a decade, the Atlanta act remains a touring draw; however, it’s what popular tours that continue to overlook the five-piece that fuels the band’s ire.
“Normal for us is adversity” said ex-Snot, current Sevendust guitarist Sonny Mayo, calling from Richmond, Va. “We didn’t get on Ozzfest. We didn’t get on Warped. We didn’t get on summer tours going around. So, we’re going to start working on some [new] stuff instead of sitting stagnant and waiting for the summer to go by. We’re going to get to work.”
Sevendust will perform at the Wedge in Austinton on Friday.
