Man sentenced in Warren shooting

WARREN – The mother of a 22-year-old shooting victim who remains in a coma says she forgives her son’s assailant, but he must be punished.

Judge W. Wyatt McKay of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court agreed that Dwayne Stoutamire, 27, of Union Street Southwest, should be punished, sentencing him Wednesday to a total 34 years in prison.

Stoutamire was found guilty in May of the Jan. 9 shooting of Antonio “Tony” Peterman at the Stonegate apartment complex on the Northwest Side.
