Kollege Tots benefits from community celebration

YOUNGSTOWN — An East Side day care center was named as the beneficiary of the Mayor’s Community Fund.

Kollege Tots, 1921 McGuffey Road, will receive the $1,000 in proceeds from the annual Mayor’s Community Celebration, which benefits the fund.

The day care center was chosen as the beneficiary when its van was stolen when near the celebration date last winter, said Mayor Jay Williams.

The Mayor’s Community Fund, was established by Williams and his wife Sonja, following his election in 2005. It is managed by the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.
