Felasco released from prison
NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Former Lawrence County Treasurer Gary Felasco was released from state prison early this morning.
The former New Caslte man will serve the next six years of his parole in Ashtabula County, Ohio, where his wife, Jeanine, and their two children relocated after his woes began.
Felasco, who was in his third term of office, was convicted of stealing more than $170,000 from his county office. He spent the last year in the Pennsylvania Corrections Instutite at Albion, Pa. He has been ordered to pay back more than $500,000 in restitution, fines and court costs.
